{Pretty, Happy, Funny, Real}
~Capturing the context of contentment in everyday life with Like Mother, Like Daughter~
{Pretty}
We have one rosebush, gifted to us by a friend in August of 2013. I can take no credit for its health or beauty; Jonathan planted it, waters it, and otherwise cares for it. But I certainly appreciate his efforts. Aren’t these blooms lovely?
Jonathan built raised beds for me! We’re starting small, to see how it goes (I have a decidedly brown thumb) – a few tomato plants, some bush beans, and some herbs (mmm, basil!) – but I am excited to have a tiny garden this year.

If you’re friends with me on Facebook, you’ve already seen this photo, but it’s too good not to share here, too. I love this kid and the faces she makes. She’s been scrunching her nose quite a bit, lately; I’m glad to have finally captured it on camera.
{Real}
Toddlers (or almost-toddlers) and technology don’t mix well, and not just for concerns about screen time. Somebody, who will remain unnamed, grabbed my cell phone during a moment of inattention and threw it to the floor. I should have seen it coming – it’s a new favorite pastime to fling anything and everything as hard as possible – but this was the result. It still works, thankfully, but is a bit worse for wear.
Those are the {pretty, happy, funny, real} moments around here this week.How about you? Head on over to Like Mother, Like Daughter or leave a comment here and share the contentment you captured this week!
